Overall I have had very good experiences with one exception. My rental from Monterrey, Mexico airport, June 14/15 2017. I have been requesting an email receipt for the past several months and still have not received it. I have contacted Emerald Club 3 times and each time all they can do is send an email to the Monterrey location because it is an international location. National is receiving revenue from their international locations so they should have a better process to resolve issues.
I will not use National again for international rentals
National is the best! From from the reservations people to the behind-the-counter agents at the airport, efficiency, helpfulness and knowledge of the product ----all are great! The cars are clean and new. One can't ask for a better car rental experience. Will always use National as my car rental company of choice.
There was only 1 person ahead of me at the counter. The agent was very courteous & friendly. He gave me a choice of several cars. I took a Buick La Crosse. It was a great car, very nice to drive. I returned the car 4 days later and just dropped the keys into the box on the counter on my way to the ticket counter. Very easy. I always rent from National!
National has always taken great care of me. I have rented from all of the major agencies and none of them can compare to National. The staff is always very courteous and friendly. I am almost always in a hurry when picking up my rental and they are very efficient with getting my rental to me.
The engine oil pressure was low, the 'check engine' light went on and car started stalling and wouldn't drive faster than 50 mph. Completely hated the experience!! I didn't get any refund or compensation for the issue. Because of this problem I was about to miss my flight!
